CROWN CHAKRA
Lotus
Traditionally, the lotus grows in muddy ponds. When the shining flower bud opens above the water, none of the mud adheres to its petals. Lotuses have thus become symbols for purity and virtue. The closed lotus represents our potential for clarity, understanding and open-heartedness. The open lotus represents the blossoming of those qualities in our life. Hence the use of the lotus symbols for the varying chakras ………

It is associated, in the body with the pineal gland & cerebral cortex, with consciousness and beyond the elements, and with the colours white, silver and the quality of luminosity.
Human Challenge and Gift – to tune into and surrender to divine consciousness.
Soul Desire – to connect with and utilize infinite energies, to know the unknown, to experience the transcendental meaning to life.

Consciousness: The Crown Chakra represents that part of our consciousness concerned with perceptions of unity or separation. Just as the Root Chakra shows our connection with Mother Earth, this chakra shows our relationship with Our Father in Heaven (the Source). It represents our connection with our biological father, which becomes the model for our relationship with authority, and ultimately, with God O(the Source). It’s the level of the soul.
When one experiences a sense of separation from their father, they close the crown chakra, and experience a sense of isolation and aloneness, as if they are in a shell, and having difficulty with feeling contact with those around them. Thought processes tend to justify and maintain the sense of aloneness.
The view from this chakra includes seeing one’s Self as the single consciousness creating all, and paradoxically, thus connected to all, like a dreamer dreaming a dream and realising that all that is perceived is just an extension of their own consciousness.
Also called White Light. Metaphysically, this is considered the most subtle element of which the entire physical universe is created.

7th Chakra ~ Crown
Sahaswara – Thought / Light Element
Wisdom, knowledge, consciousness. Located at the top of the head. This is the crown chakra that relates to consciousness as pure awareness. It is one’s connection to the greater world beyond, to a timeless, spaceless place of all-knowing. When developed, this chakra brings one knowledge, wisdom, understanding, spiritual connection, and bliss. The seventh centre integrates all the chakras with their respective qualities. It is the last milestone of the evolution of human awareness.
The Sanskrit name Sahasrara means ‘thousandfold’.
Sahasrara is viewed as the last chakra (from the bottom, or the first from the top)
Sahasrara is a bridge to the cosmos, it is a spiritual connection, and through it you can reach your higher potential. It is the energy of knowingness and enlightenment. The Crown Chakra is often described as a slowly blooming Lotus flower; as the evolvement of the spirit during life.
The Crown Chakra is the foundation of the spiritual body and links us to the higher guidance and creation. Universal energy flows into the body through the Crown Chakra which governs our conciseness and controls self awareness on a spiritual level.
The Crown Chakra is a door of universal energy and conscience; through it you can reach a higher state of awareness. Sahasrara leads you beyond materialism to the true nature of life which is abundant in joy, purpose and curiosity. The guidance begins outside yourself, but during this process you will find inner direction.
A balanced Crown Chakra gives you access to your subconscious, allows you to see your true nature and to accept the self as a part of the universe. Through a deep connection to Sahasrara you may fulfil your highest potential.
Number of petals – Thousand
Points out – oneness, void.
With the seventh chakra we are completely on the transcendental plane. Here is void, the pure source of being, the root of manifestation. Some traditions don’t view Sahasrara as a real chakra, that is, not as an archetypical plane of consciousness but more as a symbol for what is beyond that.
Key terms to understanding the archetypical aspect of Sahasrara:
Completion, union, liberation, void, birth and death.
We can think about our own experiences of and our attitude towards these aspects. We can also seek ways to work with them in an adequate manner.
Chakra visualisation can be a wonderful tool in your development and it can help you to realise what you are and who you are. Just because of that it should be used with respect. Particularly if you’re using some breathing technique at the same time.
Being conscious of a chakra and it’s aspects means that one activates it to a certain degree. Focused good thoughts and positive energy are also activating. Don’t forget that it’s your own consciousness that guides the visualisation.

This seventh chakra is located at the highest point in your body at the crown of your head, and is known as your crown chakra. This chakra is connected to your pineal gland and governs the consciousness of spiritual awakening, inner wisdom and enlightenment. It is our connection to The Divine, Our Father, The Source, just as the Root Chakra is our connection to Our Mother Earth.
It is this gateway that connects us both to the physical and non-physical realm of our existence, and it is here that we find Our Divinity and become Enlightened. From this place, we realise that we are truly connected to All-There Is, and in this knowing comes a Great Compassion for all life, Eternal Bliss and Infinite Wisdom.
We become aware that our life is but an extension of our own consciousness; that we are the dreamer, dreaming the dream. We understand that all manifestations (good and bad) are a result of our thought patterns that become subconscious beliefs – and in knowing this, we can begin to change the dream.
When your Sahasrara is in balance you will have a great intuitive knowledge, and will be very wise. You will be aware of your spiritual self and be selflessly devoted to the well-being of others because you see them as a part of you, rather than as separate.
To open your crown chakra, you must meditate consistently so as not to raise your consciousness too abruptly. Prayer is also a wonderful way to slowly open this centre up to the Source’s love and guidance. Take your time, and as you meditate or pray, imagine seeing Divine energy pouring into your crown chakra as a violet-white orb spinning at a very fast rate at the top of your head.
Next imagine a golden white light pouring into your chakra and filling your soul up with love and divine wisdom. Let this feeling sink deeply into your body slowly, turning into a golden white light of love and awakened enlightenment. Pray for Source’s direction. Breathe in, relax, and slowly open your eyes.
The highest degree of psychic ability comes with successfully opening the crown chakra. Highly evolved spiritual people can access even higher chakras than those commonly spoken of.
Petals:
Thousand-petalled Lotus blossom.
Comments:
This Chakra only awakens in the most enlightened people and represents a desire to merge with the Divine and surrender completely to Divine Will. It is the highest evolution a soul can attain, and therefore very few will ever experience even glimmers of the energy of this Chakra. Only a few, very spiritually committed and / or angelic persons in history had fully activated Seventh Chakras.
People with strong 7th Chakra Energy will often seek solitude, most often in nature. They will lose desire for material things and have left their will and ego behind them. While they are drawn to seclusion, persons are drawn to them like a magnet, as if they sense their enlightened status.
Physical symptoms of an imbalanced Seventh Chakra may involve Pituitary Gland issues.
Therapy:
Chakra Therapy would include laying the proper gemstone upon the Seventh Chakra (crown of the head) for 5-25 minutes. You may find surrounding yourself with the Scents of the Seventh Chakra helpful during 7th Chakra work. Imagine a Bright White or Violet light in the shape of a flower emanating slightly upward from your Head. Visualise all people as one. Release the hold of the world’s desires and possessions from your heart. Let your troubles go and imagine your soul being one with Source. Imagine this White / Violet Light carrying away all your worldly cares as it emanates upward, cleansing as it goes. Let the Flower expand and grow in power. Then close the petals and keep the power inside to be drawn upon as needed.
Mantras:
“I surrender my life to Source’s Will.”
“Give your troubles to Source.”
“Let go and let Divine.”

Kether
Also The Sefirot of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life (like the Chakra system) represent psychic powers or archetypes. The Tree is a picture of Creation.
Sahasrara corresponds to the first sefira, Kether, which means ‘the Crown’. It represents the will of ‘The Absolute’.
Kether symbolises the divine energy that emanates all the way into physical manifestation.
Number one
Archangel Metatron
Aspects to meditate on in Kether:

Mastery over the chakras enhances health and development of the being. Once a person masters a particular level of chakra they are ready for the next level. Certain gifts are awakened within the individual. These gifts are usable within the frame of power and nature of the harmony instilled by this form of self-development. Those who will abuse it will be cut off and disengaged of their power and gifts. Upon the awareness of these gifts there will be most likely hurdles and stumbling blocks. They are designed to test your worthiness and responsibility of them and for your maximum capacity to use them.
With great power comes great responsibility. Those willing to harbour the responsibility are then accentuated in the power. Those unable to harbour the responsibility will be consumed by the power.
Eventually these gifts and powers within themselves will become stumbling blocks and one must transcend them.
There is a purpose in these but in the long run we will not need them.
